This page is designed to help entrants understand eligibility, categories, submissions, evaluation and recognition before starting an entry.

What Is WAIDE?

WAIDE is an international architecture, design and intelligence ecosystem built around awards, projects, people, studios, stories and professional discovery. Its positioning is expressed through the idea “Where Architecture, Design & Intelligence Meet.” The 2027 programme is the Founding Edition of the awards.

Who Can Enter?

WAIDE welcomes architecture and design studios, individual architects and designers, developers, multidisciplinary teams, visualization artists, product creators, students and emerging professionals. Entrants may submit their own work or submit on behalf of a project where they have the necessary authority and permissions.

What Categories Are Available?

The approved WAIDE disciplines include Architecture, Interior, Landscape, Urban, Furniture, Lighting, Product, Kitchen & Bath, Material, Graphic, AI Design, Visualization, Conceptual, Installation, Student / Emerging and Development. Development includes Residential, Mixed-Use, Commercial & Office, Hospitality & Resort, Retail & Destination, Urban & District, and Regeneration & Adaptive Reuse. Special Awards include Sustainable Development Award and Intelligent Development Award.

Can Completed and Unbuilt Projects Be Submitted?

Depending on the category, WAIDE can accept completed projects, projects under construction, unbuilt work, competition proposals, conceptual work and experimental ideas. Entrants should select the category and project status that most accurately describe the work.

Can AI-Assisted Work Be Submitted?

Yes. AI-assisted work can be submitted where relevant. WAIDE requires meaningful disclosure of the tools used, the stage at which they were used, what was generated and what remained under human creative direction. AI use should be transparent rather than hidden.
