International Architectural Visualization Awards 2027
The WAIDE International Architectural Visualization Awards 2027 recognize visual storytelling that communicates architecture, interiors, landscape and future environments with clarity, atmosphere and creative intent. The programme welcomes visualization studios, 3D artists, architects, designers, filmmakers, students and emerging creators worldwide.
What Visualization Work Can Enter?
Relevant entries may include:
- Exterior, interior, landscape and urban visualization
- Conceptual imagery and still renders
- Animation and architectural film
- Mixed-media visualization
- AI-assisted visual work (where the process is disclosed appropriately)
Visualization as Communication
A strong architectural image does more than display a building. It can explain space, light, material, scale, atmosphere, use and the relationship between people and place. WAIDE encourages visualizations that serve the project idea rather than rely only on visual spectacle.
What the Jury Considers
The jury may consider composition, storytelling, spatial clarity, light, material representation, atmosphere, technical execution, consistency with the design concept, originality and the ability of the visualization to communicate the intended architecture or experience.
Accuracy and Representation
Entrants should make clear whether the work represents a built project, an unbuilt proposal or a purely conceptual environment. Visualizations must not be labeled or presented in a way that could reasonably be mistaken for documentary photography of a completed project.
AI-Assisted Visualization
AI-assisted workflows are welcome where relevant, but entrants should disclose the tools and their role. The submission should distinguish generated components from the underlying design work and explain the human creative direction behind the final image or sequence.
Still Images, Animation and Film
Different formats communicate different qualities. Still imagery may be judged for composition and atmosphere, while animation and film may also be considered for sequence, pacing, camera movement, narrative and sound where relevant.
Credits and Project Authorship
Visualization authorship should be credited separately from architectural or interior design authorship. Where the visualizer is not the project designer, the submission should identify both roles accurately.
