Built Interior Design Awards 2027
The WAIDE Built Interior Design Awards 2027 recognize completed interior spaces where concept, planning, materiality, atmosphere and real-world use can be evaluated through the finished result.
What Built Interiors Can Enter?
Eligible work may include residential interiors, apartments, houses, hotels, restaurants, bars, offices, retail, showrooms, cultural interiors, wellness spaces, healthcare interiors and other approved interior categories.
Why Built Evidence Matters
Completed interiors reveal how design performs beyond visualization. The jury can consider actual proportions, circulation, material transitions, lighting, detailing, furniture integration, acoustics, comfort and the quality of the user experience.
What the Jury Considers
Evaluation may include concept, spatial planning, function, materiality, lighting, detailing, identity, accessibility, environmental considerations, durability and the relationship between the completed interior and its users or brand.
Photography and Documentation
Entrants should use accurate photography and project documentation wherever available. If renderings or AI-assisted images are included for explanation, they should be clearly identified and not presented as evidence of the completed condition.
Interiors as Lasting Project Records
WAIDE interior project profiles can connect the completed work to its studio, designers, location, category, year and award result, creating a searchable record that remains useful after the competition cycle.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can a completed restaurant interior enter?
Yes, if it meets the relevant Interior category and eligibility requirements.
Can architecture and interior design from the same project both enter?
Potentially, where separate entries are allowed and each submission focuses on the criteria of its discipline.
Can an unfinished interior enter?
It should use the route that matches its actual project status rather than being presented as built.
